Ada Lovelace

Her notes were published in 1843.

Ada Lovelace wrote about a planned calculating machine called the Analytical Engine.

In 1843 she published a step-by-step plan for the machine to compute numbers.

People call that plan the first computer program. The machine was not built in her lifetime.
