Sort the leaves

Time. 15 minutes

What you need. 6 leaves from the ground, A table

Lay the leaves in a row.
Put them into two groups. You choose the rule.
Say the rule out loud. Big and small is fine. Smooth and rough is fine.

Finished when. You have two groups, and you can say how you sorted them.

Time. 20 minutes

What you need. A bowl of water, 6 safe objects, A grown-up

Ask a grown-up to fill a bowl.
Guess sink or float for each object before you try it.
Lower one object at a time. Write what happened.

Finished when. The team has a list of what sank and what floated.
